As per the notification No. LSGD/PD/24269/2024-EER1 dated 06.09.2024, published in the Extraordinary Gazette No. 2888 dated 07.09.2024 by the Director of Local Self Government Department (Rural), the number of seats to be filled through direct election in Kannamangalam Grama Panchayat, Malappuram District, was fixed at 24.

Accordingly, draft proposals for dividing the said Grama Panchayat into 24 electoral constituencies and for determining the boundaries of such constituencies were published vide Notification No. SDC/819/2024/SDC4 dated 18.11.2024.

Time was allowed up to 04.12.2024 for submitting objections and suggestions regarding the said proposals. The objections and suggestions received were duly examined, the complainants were given an opportunity to be heard in person, and the matters were considered and disposed of accordingly.

Therefore, in accordance with Section 10 of the Kerala Panchayat Raj Act, 1994, the Kannamangalam Grama Panchayat has been divided into 24 electoral constituencies, with their boundaries determined and published as shown in the map appended herewith and the accompanying schedule.
